1. The Family Stone (2005)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Too bad The Family Stone itself didn’t come as a surprise, pleasant or otherwise. An absolutely dreadful family melodrama that pounds emotional buttons with absurd urgency, it never threatens to become anything more than sappy schlock. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Dermot Mulroney. Fox, $29.98, 5/2/2006.

2. Did You Hear About The Morgans? [Blu-Ray] (2009)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you’ve seen a couple of “fish out of water” tales, you’ll know what Did You Hear About the Morgans? has to offer. Despite the movie’s generic tendencies, it has just enough charm to make it reasonably enjoyable. The Blu-ray features excellent picture, acceptable audio, and a few reasonably enjoyable supplements. Morgans becomes a decent “date night”

3. Sex And The City: The Movie - Special Edition (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I expected a genuinely dreadful experience via Sex and the City: The Movie, I must admit the end result was surprisingly tolerable. That doesn’t make it good, as it’s really a pretty cheesy piece of fashion-based melodrama at heart, but it’s watchable ... The quality of the disc disappoints, but I doubt that’ll keep fans from their City fix. I d

4. Divorce: The Complete First Season [Blu-Ray] (2016)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A mix of drama and (mostly) comedy, Divorce offers sporadic pleasures. While parts of the series deliver humor and insight, it seems inconsistent and doesn’t hit the mark as often as I’d like. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Thomas Haden Church. HBO, $24.98, 5/9/2017.

5. Sex And The City: The Movie [Blu-Ray} (2008)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Although I expected a genuinely dreadful experience via Sex and the City: The Movie, I must admit the end result was surprisingly tolerable. That doesn’t make it good, as it’s really a pretty cheesy piece of fashion-based melodrama at heart, but it’s watchable. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall. New Line, $9.98, 9/23/2008.

6. Square Pegs: The Complete Series (1982)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: It didn’t last long, but Square Pegs left an impact on its apparently insufficient roster of fans. The series has held up quite well over the years and still proves highly entertaining after a quarter of a century ... I definitely recommend this entertaining show and nice package. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Amy Linker. Sony, $29.95, 5/20/2008.

7. Failure To Launch: Special Collector's Edition (2006)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Failure to Launch starts with a cynical concept and doesn’t get any better from there. It barely attempts a true story, as it prefers slapstick vignettes and cheap character laughs. Starring Matthew McConaughey, Sarah Jessica Parker. Paramount, $29.98, 6/27/2006.

8. Sex and the City: The Complete Series and 2 Movie Collection [Blu-Ray] (1998-2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: A major hit and a cultural sensation, Sex and the City holds up surprisingly well more than two decades after its debut. Even for someone far outside its target audience, I can find charm and wit in this mostly engaging series, though don’t expect much from the flawed feature films. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall. New Line, $179.99, 11/2/2

9. Sex And The City 2 [Blu-Ray} (2010)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: Perhaps someone can find value in Sex and the City 2, but I can’t. Smug, witless and thoroughly obnoxious, this becomes a painful 146 minutes. Starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall. New Line, $19.98, 10/26/2010.

10. Escape From Planet Earth [Blu-Ray] (2013)
Reviewed by Colin Jacobson: If you want great animated entertainment, you won’t find it with Escape from Planet Earth. However, you will find a reasonably likable and amusing little action comedy and you could do much worse. The Blu-ray boasts excellent visuals and audio along with a decent set of supplements led by a good commentary. While not a classic, Escape offers a fun time.
